About Us.

Full Quiver Consulting has been assisting clients since 2013, utilizing the experience of its principal consultants to develop affordable housing project proposals, as well as provide technical assistance and project management expertise once projects have been funded.

Established in 2013

After nearly two decades of serving with Habitat for Humanity, John and Michelle Connor launched Full Quiver Consulting in 2013. Together, they bring over a half century of organizational management and fundraising experience to their clients.​ They work with for-profit and non-profit affordable housing providers, and they bring value to projects both big and small.

The Mission

The mission of Full Quiver Consulting is to help its clients to build their capacity and secure financing to fund affordable housing projects by bringing their innovative insight, experience and creativity to boardrooms, staff meetings, and project sites.

Principal Consultant

John Connor graduated from Lebanon Valley College of Pennsylvania in 2000 with Bachelor degrees in biology and German, as well as his teaching certificate. During college, John volunteered on Habitat for Humanity Mission Trips to Pendleton County, WV, and upon graduation he served as an AmeriCorps*VISTA with Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity as their Director of Community Relations & Fundraising.

During the 13 years he was directly involved with Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity, John transitioned to Director of Development and later Chief Development Officer, while greatly expanding their fundraising and grant writing efforts. He has successfully written and managed grants from USDA Rural Development, Housing Assistance Council, West Virginia Housing Development Fund, Community Works of West Virginia, Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh, The Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation, The Home Depot Foundation, Lowe’s, and various other federal and state grants.

John earned a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from The Fund Raising School at Indiana University in 2006, and has been a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. In addition to developing and managing robust grant portfolios, John also developed and expanded the direct mail, house sponsorship, planned giving, annual fund, and major gift solicitation efforts of the Habitat affiliate. John also has great experience with government relations and advocacy on the local, state, and federal levels. He has been a co-presenter at Habitat for Humanity International’s Habitat On the Hill legislative conference in Washington, D.C.

​In 2010, John was honored with the inaugural Leadership Award presented by the Pendleton County Chamber of Commerce. He was also recognized by The State Journal in 2012 as a member of Generation Next: 40 Under 40, a program highlighting young professionals who push forward every day with their own dreams and plans to make West Virginia a better place.

Michelle L. Connor
Principal Consultant 

Michelle Connor served as the CEO of Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity for 16 years. Under her direction the organization grew from a small home office to one of the thriving businesses on Main Street, and it became one of the most productive Habitat for Humanity affiliates in the United States. 
Michelle brings a unique passion to her work. She is a proud Habitat for Humanity Homeowner and the first ever Habitat Homeowner to serve as the leader of a Habitat for Humanity affiliate. This firsthand perspective gives her an unparalleled compassion and drive that she exercises to raise money for non-profit organizations that serve families in need.

In addition to developing and managing robust grant portfolios, Michelle is a gifted copywriter for fundraising campaign materials, direct mail, e-mails, and all forms of public relations, advocacy, and media. She has also launched numerous successful sponsorship, annual fund, and major gift solicitation efforts.

Michelle has earned a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Duke University, a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from The Fund Raising School at Indiana University, and a Certificate in Strategic Perspectives in Non-Profit Management from Harvard Business School. She has over 20 years of experience developing affordable housing projects including the diverse skills of creating project budgets and grant writing. During her service with Habitat for Humanity, she oversaw the construction of 150 new houses, developed and constructed four affordable housing subdivisions, and over 500 repairs on additional homes in Eastern West Virginia using funding from private and public sectors. She also took the lead on numerous other neighborhood revitalization and community engagement efforts including securing funding to serve active duty and retired military families through a Veteran’s Initiative.

She has served as the Vice-Chairman of West Virginia Leave A Legacy and a member of Habitat for Humanity International’s U.S. Council. She developed collaborative relationships with the West Virginia Housing Development Fund, the WV Affordable Housing Trust Fund, USDA Rural Development, FHLBank of Pittsburgh, WV Home Builders Association, Community Works of WV, Housing Assistance Council, World Vision, and many other local, state, and national governmental and private service agencies.  Michelle joined Full Quiver Consulting in 2016 and is currently a member of the Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania and Women in Housing & Finance PA.

We are passionate about the creation and preservation of affordable housing, and we are responsive to our clients' diverse needs. We know from experience the joys, challenges, and hardships of affordable housing development. The time invested in affordable housing projects can be significant and can strain the existing resources of an organization.
